Jay M. Hammer is a business and non-profit leader based in Washington DC. After a retail career, serving in senior positions for Macy’s, Gap, and Urban Outfitters since the mid-90’s, Jay moved into a series of e-commerce positions at a a number of companies he founded or turned around. He is currently the President and CEO of Theralogix, a company he has led since inception and today one of the nation’s leading nutritional supplement companies for the physician-referred channel. After serving on a series of non-profit boards and a series of leadership positions at Washington Performing Arts Society, Jay assumed the Chairmanship of WPAS from 2008 to 2010. Jay grew up in Chicago, where he attended New Trier West High School. He graduated magna cum laude and Phi Beta Kappa from University of Chicago in 1976, did graduate work in literature at The Johns Hopkins University, and then went on to receive his MBA from Harvard University in 1979.
