During this event you’ll discover all of the Museum’s educational offerings, including newly designed curricula for 6th-12th grade levels. The afternoon includes admittance to all our exhibits and a tour of our special exhibit Dark Testament: A Century of Black Writers on Justice. Then, a presentation by Museum education staff and curricula designer, Critical Learning Collaborative, to show how a trip to the AWM can invigorate your students this academic year. As an ISBE approved Professional Development provider, PD hours (only applicable for Illinois teachers) will be awarded for your participation in the event.
Complimentary adult beverages, non-alcoholic drinks, and light snacks will be served. Please be prepared to show your school ID for admission.
This is an in person event at the AWM. If you are unable to attend in person but would still like to learn about the AWM’s education programs, the presentation will be livestreamed on Zoom. You can register for that webinar link here.
