Upcoming Events

The American Writers Museum offers unique events throughout the year for children, families and adults looking for things to do. Public programming for all ages ranges from specialized tours, children’s storytimes, author talks, special events and an American Writers Festival (returning in 2024). New events are added regularly, so come back often to check for updates, or click here to sign up for program updates. Explore our Virtual Hub to find past author talks, children’s storytimes, podcasts and more!

Please note that we are taking extra precautions during the COVID-19 pandemic. For in-person programs, vaccinations and masks are recommended. Most in-person programs will also be broadcast online for those who cannot attend in-person. Instructions on how to access program livestreams can be found at the bottom of this page.

Instructions for Virtual / Hybrid Programs:

Most author talks will be streamed live via Zoom. While there is no cost to attend, donations are welcome as we weather this crisis. If you are able, you can help support the American Writers Museum here. To register for a free live virtual program follow these three easy steps:

  1. Find the program above and then click the blue REGISTER button and you will be taken to Eventbrite. Then, follow the registration steps through Eventbrite and look for a confirmation email. You will also receive reminder emails with the direct Zoom link as the program approaches.
  2. Download Zoom on the device of your choice. This will be the best way to get the full immersive live experience.
  3. Tell your friends! Spread the word and let’s celebrate the magic and power of writing together.
