About the speaker:

Michael Warr is a poet, editor, and art consultant. His books include Of Poetry & Protest: From Emmett Till to Trayvon Martin, The Armageddon of Funk, and We Are All The Black Boy. Literary honors include a Berkeley Poetry Festival Lifetime Achievement Award, San Francisco Library Laureate, NEA Fellowship, Gwendolyn Brooks Significant Illinois Poets Award, and more. His poetry is translated into Chinese by poet Chun Yu for their Two Languages / One Community project.

    By chance will the Quincy Troupe and Michael Warr event only be in person, or accessible via zoom, or recorded for future on-line viewing. Thanks.for any info.

      All events except those listed in the virtual programs section are in-person only. So, yes, this program will only take place in-person. It will be recorded and posted to our YouTube page at a later date though. Thanks for checking, please let us know if you have any additional questions.
