The American Writers Museum
The museum is a place where aspiring young people explore the vast spectrum of writers, stories, and perspectives that make have made American writing unique and powerful. They see writers from the past and the present who look like them and faced many of the same challenges. They discover that writing is a path to self-discovery and confidence. They learn that their writing can affect change – for themselves and the world.

As censorship and book banning become alarmingly prevalent, the AWM remains an advocate for the freedom to read and write. We celebrate the diverse, often underrepresented, writers who give us a broader understanding of humanity. Your gift will help the AWM remain a place of solidarity for all of us who value freedom and believe in the power of writing.
