Get Lit: Down with Love

Love skeptics, heartbreak survivors, and those who have had enough of Cupid’s arrows rejoice! Join us for a night of unapologetic revelry and celebration at Get Lit: Down With Love.

• Join the Rejection Open Mic and share rejection letters or stories of your own! After reading, you can shred the letter and release it into the ether. Plus, select letters from famous writers will be available to read.
• Create hilariously sarcastic, anti-love cards for your friends (or enemies) at the Un-Valentines Day Card Station. We’ll even mail them out for you (for a small fee).
• Unleash your creative energy at the Shatter Your Sorrows station, where you’ll decorate a plate with vibrant expressions of your emotions before ceremoniously shattering it in our love-themed pop-up rage room.
• Test your aim at Cupid’s Precision Payback and see if you can hit Cupid as he flies around the museum.
• Enjoy beer, wine, and the night’s specialty cocktail, The Bitter Lover, a deliciously bitter cocktail. Non-alcoholic options available as well.

Whether you’re single and loving it, happily unattached, or just not a fan of Valentine’s Day, this is the party for you. Come together with like-minded souls, and let’s declare our independence from the tyranny of love at Get Lit: Down with Love!

Get Lit is your way to enjoy evenings in the Loop. Meet friends and fellow book nerds for an early evening treat. Each month, the AWM serves drinks, games, special experiences, and fun activities to get you lit!

Buy your tickets today! A limited number of tickets are available at the door. AWM members, use the access code emailed to you to reveal the member ticket price. Tickets include admission to the museum and drink tickets for two complimentary beverages. Additional drink tickets are available for purchase. Guests must be 21+ to attend Get Lit and show a valid ID at the door.
