The Literary Circle

Get even more from your AWM membership with the Literary Circle. In addition to benefits at the AWM, members of our Literary Circle get FREE, reciprocal access to over 1,500 museums across North America with the NARM and ROAM. Click here to view a list of participating museums.

Literary Circle grants you access to more than 1500 museums across North and Central America. View a full list, with any special notes, on the NARM website and ROAM website.

In order to visit museums in the NARM and ROAM reciprocal programs, you’ll need to have a physical or digital membership card with NARM/ROAM logos. Be prepared to present photo ID that matches the name on your membership card.

If you’re buying your tickets in advance, note that each museum operates its own ticketing system. Some ticketing systems will allow for a NARM qualified visitor to indicate if they receive NARM benefits when purchasing tickets online and require proof of membership when you visit.  Other systems require the full-price purchase online and will refund the ticket price when you visit and show your NARM credentials.

We recommend calling the institution you plan to visit prior to ordering tickets for more details on how to receive your NARM reciprocal benefits through their ticketing system.

To upgrade your membership, please call our member hotline number at (312) 374-8790 and a member of our team will assist you.

We’re sorry to hear your experienced issues visiting a reciprocal museum. Please send us an email to let us know the name of the institution. Please note, the AWM is unable to provide refunds for tickets purchased at NARM/ ROAM museums.

If you’re planning to visit a museum soon, you can call them directly in advance to confirm your eligibility and ask about any local blackout rules .
