Hunt for the Gingerbread Boy

‘Twas a day at the museum, when all through the hall,
Not a writer was stirring, not even on a scrawl.
A Gingerbread Boy, with a grin made of spice,
Ran through the exhibits, quick as sugar on ice
Past books and typewriters, he dashed with glee,
Hemingway, Dickinson, and more he did see.
“Catch me if you can!” he whispered with delight
“I’ll hide while you visit, good luck spotting me right!”
