About the Storytellers:

CASSIDY started working at the AWM shortly after it opened its doors in 2017. He graduated with a B.A. in Creative Writing from Columbia College Chicago. His short fiction has been published in Hair Trigger, and when not working at the museum he continues to work on his writing.

COURTNEY joined the AWM in April 2017. As a lifelong literature connoisseur and history buff, she could not pass up the opportunity to help share the contextual significance of American writing. She graduated summa cum laude from the University of Illinois at Chicago with a B.A. in History and is currently pursuing her M.S. in Library and Information Science from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign. When she is not reading, Courtney can be found engaging with America’s other cherished pastime, baseball.

MATT joined the team at the AWM in December 2019. He graduated from Columbia College Chicago with a BFA in Theatre Directing in May of 2019. While not working at the museum, Matt is a theatre director and creator. He has worked with the International Voices Project, the Chicago Fringe Festival, and BYOT Productions on various projects. He is excited to share his love for the written word with all that visit the museum.

OLIVIA began her employment at the AWM in August 2019, just as she started at the University of Illinois at Chicago. Currently, she is majoring in Communications and minoring in English. She feels privileged and excited to work and interact with those who love writers and writing. When not in class or at the museum, Olivia composes poetry and short stories she often posts to her blog and explores the wonders of the City of Chicago.

The event is finished.
