NaNoWriMo Writers Space at the AWM

NaNoWriMo Writers Space

November is National Novel Writing Month, better known as NaNoWriMo, and we want to help you get across the finish line! Join your fellow writers and readers at the American Writers Museum’s second annual NaNoWriMo Writers Space, where you can swap ideas, share tips, give feedback, and write your #NaNoWriMo novel.

Included with AWM admission. No advance registration required.

General Highlight Tours of the AWM will be offered at 11:00 am and 1:00 pm to inspire the writer inside you. Spend a day at the AWM with fellow writers and find motivation for your novel from the American masters of the craft, including:

  • Jack Kerouac, who wrote¬†On the Road in three weeks on one long typewritten scroll.
  • Dorothy Parker, who once telegraphed her editor, “I SIMPLY CANNOT GET THE THING DONE PAPER COVERED WITH WRONG WORDS.”
  • Ernest Hemingway, who psyched himself up with the mantra, “Do not worry. You have always written before and you will write now.”
  • Ray Bradbury, who had a sign above his typewriter that read, “DON’T THINK.”

This get together is open to writers of all levels and genres. Whether you’re a seasoned novelist or just starting your writing journey, the AWM is here to inspire and support you. Let’s make this NaNoWriMo a month to remember!

The event is finished.
