Interactive installations, arts & crafts, carnival games, and more at the AWF Block Party!
At the American Writers Festival, there’s more than just book talk. Get ready for fun, community-driven activities for visitors of all ages. This year, we’re taking the Festival to the street with the AWF Block Party, located on Plymouth Court. The AWF Block Party will feature a wide range of local partner organizations that will lead workshops, make crafts, and share information about the wonderful work they do. We’ll have tunes playing and amazing partners to meet and greet!
The American Writers Festival, co-presented by the American Writers Museum and Chicago Public Library, is an entirely free, two-day literary event showcasing the breadth and depth of American writing in all genres and styles. The Festival takes place June 6 at the American Writers Museum in Chicago (180 N. Michigan Ave.) from 10:00 am to 5:00 pm. Then on June 7, the Festival moves to the Harold Washington Library Center (400 S. State St.) from 10:00 to 5:00 pm.
