About the speakers:
Archie Bongiovanni is a queer comic artist living in Minneapolis. They’re the co-creator of the bestselling comic A Quick And Easy Guide To They/Them Pronouns which has been praised by Publishers Weekly and School Library Journal. Their comic Grease Bats was published on Autostraddle for seven years before being printed as a collection by Boom Studios in 2019. Archie is the author of History Comics: Stonewall, drawn by A. Andrews, published this year by First Second and their original graphic novel Mimosa, published by Surely Press, will be out Spring 2023. Archie has appeared in The New Yorker, Vice, Electric Literature, and The Nib.
Andrew Davis has been executive editor of the Chicago-based LGBTQ+ media outlet Windy City Times since 2018. He joined the outlet as a full-time reporter in 2004 and became managing editor in 2007. He is a graduate of Randolph-Macon College and the Northwestern University Pritzker School of Law.
