Wakanda
For the last century, the Kingdom of Wakanda was thought to be a nation of poor farmers and shepherds. Located to the north of Lake Turkana in East Africa, Wakanda had remained almost silent on a global scale participating in no international trade or accepting foreign aid. The entire world had practically written-off Wakanda, until a recent speech at the United Nations from King TโChalla in which he said,
“For the first time in history, we will be sharing our knowledge and resources with the outside world. Wakanda will no longer watch from the shadows. We cannot. We must not. We will work to be an example of how we as brothers and sisters on this Earth should treat each other. Now, more than ever, the illusions of division threaten our very existence. We all know the truth: more connects us than separates us. But in times of crisis the wise build bridges, while the foolish build barriers. We must find a way to look after one another as if we were one single tribe.”
We now know that what the world thought was a third world country is actually the most technologically advanced nation on the planet as well as home to the Black Panther. And for the first time ever, travel to Wakanda is possible with AWM Destinationโs Wakandan Cultural Exchange Program (WCEP). Immerse Yourself in the Culture of Wakanda
During your visit to Wakanda, youโll spend most of your time in Birnin Zana, also known as the Golden City. From the city center, travel aboard the Maglev Train to visit each of the four tribes of Wakanda: The River tribe, the Mining tribe, the Merchant tribe, and the Border tribe. Youโll be introduced to distinct cultural practices while visiting the tribes. For example, while touring the Border tribe land, youโll visit the White Rhino Farm where the members of the Border tribe breed and train these magnificent creatures for battle.
See the Future of Technology
A unique experience for all tech lovers out there is a visit to Princess Shuriโs Lab located in Mount Bashenga. Designed by the Princess herself, this high tech laboratory designs and produces much of Wakandaโs modern technology including the Black Panther Habit. During your visit, youโll view a demonstration of some of the latest technology coming out of the lab. This experience is especially unique and is only possible through the Wakandan Cultural Exchange Program.
Discover the Natural Wonder
In addition to the cultural and technological wonders of Wakanda, your Exchange Program will give you an opportunity to view the local flora and fauna of the kingdom. Hike up the snowy mountains to visit the Jabari Tribe or climb down to visit the vibranium mines. No matter where you go, youโll be sure to discover unique and exciting plants and animals along the way.
Meet the Black Panther
The highlight of your time in Wakanda will be the opportunity to meet and dine with the King of Wakanda, TโChalla, or as heโs more commonly known: The Black Panther. After a day spent exploring the marketplace of Birnin Zana, youโll put on your finest clothes and head to the Hall of Kings where TโChalla would normally meet with the Tribal Council. With a huge window looking out at the city, the Hall of Kings will surely make you feel like royalty. While youโre there, make sure to look down through the glass floor and see an old Wakandan ruin.
