A Smith-Corona typewriter at the American Writers Museum

AWM Story of the Week

Every week, the AWM is excited to bring you stories written by our visitors in our Story of the Day exhibit. Check back weekly for new stories, and visit the Museum to try out our typewriters and possibly be featured here!

This poem uses a unique perspective that we loved. Thanks Jeremy!

coins in waters
gently, throw me to invoke
slowly, cram me over within your hand
wishing for less, praying for me

to become a token of freedom

a lovely dream that can be forgiven

in the water

in the water
praying for more
cuz more is never enough

We agree, thank YOU for visiting!

Writers are simply the best people in the world.

Without them the world would be a sad place.
Thanks for this wonderful museum honoring writers.
